01st April 2020 | Company News
As the COVID-19 virus outbreak continues to escalate across the globe and deeply affect markets within which we have employees, clients and partners, I wanted to personally update you on the business continuity plans we have in place across the DMC Canotec Group.
Simon Davey, CEO, DMC Canotec Group
From the 1st April a number of our excellent staff will be furloughed under the government’s Job Retention Scheme. We have taken this measure as a responsible employer to protect jobs while demand in the UK’s services sector is weaker than normal. Meanwhile, we continue to have staff operating remotely during this difficult period so do please call them if you need our support.
We thank you for your ongoing partnership and look forward to supporting your growth on the other side of Covid-19!
Over the last 10 days our business has witnessed a significant amount of change and thanks to all of our fantastic staff we have been able to maintain our usual high-levels of service.
Today, however, we do need to change the way they work to protect them from this global pandemic. Please bear with us while we prioritise calls for those customers working in key sectors that will help our country get back to full strength.
This is a difficult time for all our stakeholders, but we were there for you before the crisis and we’ll be even stronger after it.

Important Service Update
Following the recent government announcement, we are currently taking steps to ensure the safety of both our customers and our staff. Consequently, this means reducing the presence of our field-based engineering team.
With this in mind, we will only be carrying out remote-fix activity for all clients apart from those delivering critical services as defined by the government.
If you still wish to log a service call, please continue to our Support page.
